Celebrating Women!

They say that it takes a village to raise a child, and I say that it takes the support of incredible women to make your dreams come true. Case and point, your wedding day! From moms to maids of honour to flower girls, just to name a few, play pivotal roles in making your wedding day perfect.

This International Women’s Day, we look at how women make a bride’s wedding dreams a reality. We do need a bride and groom for a wedding to take place but a mother’s touch and guidance during the planning phases and on the wedding day are equally important – from providing, tips (and tricks!) to making a marriage a happy one to managing the wedding morning chaos.

A bride’s maid or matron of honour is usually their best friend; their ride or die! This woman continues to fix the bride’s crown without telling the world that it was crooked.

I recently read that the purpose of the flower girl is to lead the bride forward and symbolize the innocence fading away and her walking into her new role as wife (and mother).

We all need strong, powerful and intelligent women in our lives and your wedding day is no different. So, “here’s to strong women! May we know them. May we be them. May we raise them!”
