I will always remember this wedding referral as one that came from the gift that kept on giving.
Sometime between 2018 and 2019, there was a slew of referrals all somehow connecting to a specific bank in Toronto where friends of friends of friends worked at, and Ciara and James were one of those couples who knew someone (Amy and John, our AGO wedding that we blogged about last).
When Ciara (pronounced "keer-ah") contacted me though, her vision was a little bit different. Instead of a large and lavish art gallery event, they wanted to keep it intimate and personal. Ciara and James had always loved wine and visiting Ontario's wine region, and they had a feeling that eventually, their wedding will end up close to, or in a vineyard.
After searching high and low (trust me, I kept the list of contenders - it was thorough!) in the downtown Toronto area to see if anything would spark their interest, they decided to push their date into the spring to be able to have the wedding they've always dreamed about at Inn on the Twenty in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
About 60 of their closest family and friends came out to Jordan to watch as these two said their vows in the quaint little country house in the adjacent Cave Spring Vineyard before heading back to the Inn where they enjoyed a seafood spread with canapes, sparkling Cave Spring wine, a 3-course farm-to-table meal, and cinnamon sugar and vanilla dipped doughnuts in lieu of wedding cake. Everything from the wedding went off without a hitch, from the weather to the photograph sessions to the party. Not to mention that the flowers were some of the most GORGEOUS I've ever laid my eyes on..... and I'm a floral designer, so that says something!
Thanks to everyone for helping me plan and pull off this spectacular wedding - it never ceases to amaze me how gorgeous an event can be at any size. And HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to our lovely couple - to many, many more wonderful moments and milestones like this one.
