It was the tail end of the Christmas season, with Christmas trees still dazzling the Fairmont, Loujain and Muaz arrived to celebrate their special day with friends and family. As the boss babe behind this amazing evening; Mubrouka, Muaz’s badass sister and the Envision team spearheaded a magical evening. From the momentous grand entrance to the heartfelt speeches and captivating dance floor moments, every detail was curated to create an evening filled with magic, laughter, and cherished memories.
Let’s back up a bit…..
Two weeks before the wedding, I had a trip planned to the Dominican from the year prior. Little did I know a snowstorm was going to hit on Christmas Day leaving me stranded in Mexico for three extra days, causing me to create plans A, B and C. Working tirelessly from abroad, I conducted our final meeting remotely with my team, determined to ensure that nothing would stand in the way of Muaz and Loujain’s special day. With only two days left before my return to Canada, I ran around like a chicken with my head cut off, finalizing details and making up for lost time, fueled by sheer determination and adrenaline.
Now fast forward back to their big day!
It was the morning of December 30th, and
while the bridesmaid and the family were getting their hair and makeup done, I ensured everything was running as planned. With every step between load-ins, coordinating with vendors, and capturing precious moments it was a whirlwind of activity. It's so important to me to ensure that every aspect of Muaz and Loujain's day was executed flawlessly. From the bride and groom's anticipation-filled preparations to the final touches on the reception space, it was a day where every step counted – quite literally, as my Apple watch confirmed.
Stepping into the reception space at the Fairmont was like entering a dream. The floor was wrapped in a stunning vinyl wrap featuring the bride and groom's initials, serving as the perfect canvas for their love-filled evening. Tables adorned by flickering candles cast a soft glow over the room while towering trees and spotlights added an ethereal touch. It was a sight to behold, a testament to Mubrouka's impeccable taste and attention to detail.
The evening began with a bang as Loujain, Muaz, and their entourage entered to the incredibly catchy beats of the rhythm of drums filling the air, guests rose to their feet in the excitement of the Sooriana group as they welcomed the couple for their Grand entrance. This spirited start set the tone for a night of celebration, with guests joining the couple on the dance floor for a pre-dinner dance party.
One of the many highlights of the evening came with the cutting of the magnificent eight-tier wedding cake. Amidst a spectacular display of sparkler fireworks and the dramatic flourish of a massive sword, Loujain and Muaz sliced through that cake with expert precision (I was honestly very impressed haha). No one and I mean no one could keep their eyes off the couple, they were so in love.
Throughout dinner, a violinist played in the background, while guests enjoyed their delicious meals. As dinner drew to a close, surrounded by friends and family, Loujain and Muaz took to the dance floor for their first dance to the timeless tune “Conversations in the Dark” by John Legend. It was a moment of pure joy and a celebration of their journey together.
As the night came to a close, the air was filled with the aroma of a delicious kunafas stand as guests danced the night away. Muaz and Loujain’s wedding was definitely one for the books. It was a spectacular night solely due to every single vendor and person involved putting in 100% and absolutely killing it. I am so grateful I was a part of their big wedding milestones, here's to the next…….
