Drake One Fifty
Located in the heart of Toronto, this 6,000 square -foot eatery is a hipster paradise. The colourful, textured interior creates an inviting atmosphere to host the perfect rehearsal dinner. Their menu offers options of cozy classics such as Spicy Shrimp, Hand-tossed Pizzas, Beef Tartrate, Nonna’s Meatballs, and Swordfish, that is both crowd pleasing and unpretentious. To start the night off, grab a cold brew from the bar and order some apps to share. For dinner, we would suggest ordering several pizzas for the table to be shared family-style. You can never go wrong with some good down-to-earth comfort food. This is the perfect environment to unwind and de-stress days before your wedding.
Sultan’s Tent
If you have planned a romantic and elegant wedding, this venue will fit hand in hand with your theme. This French Moroccan restaurant is visually outstanding with its rich colours and patterned textural décor to truly create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. They offer live entertainment with professional belly dancers, and unique flavours and dishes such as Chicken Bastilla, North African Peri Peri Chicken, Short Rib Tagine, and Seafood Royale (yum). Afterwards, indulge in their signature dessert Sweet Keskesu and pair it with a Moroccan mint tea or coffee. This restaurant is sure to give your guests an unforgettable and magical experience. This pick is a no brainer; you will be the talk of the town after hosting the perfect rehearsal dinner (it will be hard to beat). Bonus: On most nights, they also have belly dancing performances!
Spacco Restaurant and Bar
Located a bit north of the city, just north of the bustling Yonge & Eglinton district, Spacco Restaurant and Bar is a hidden gem. Tucked away on the busy street this restaurant is perfect for parties of 10 to up to 300 serving up Italian style food in an elegant and energetic atmosphere with a walled summer patio, spacious bar area, and a lounge decked with seven pool tables. Their menu includes Spicy Fettuccini, Stone-baked Pizzas, and Veal Di Buffalo. This is the perfect environment to cuddle up with your girlfriends, order a bottle of red wine, and gush all the details of your wedding over some antipasto. Meanwhile, your future hubby will be hanging in the lounge with his boys, enjoying a cold beer, while playing a competitive game of pool.
