When Alex told me that her wedding would be in the backyard of her future in-law's house, we were admittedly slightly skeptical. Too often have we run into the situation where a backyard is as perfect for a wedding reception as we would hope. But once we stepped foot onto the property, we all had a collective "aha" moment. This backyard truly was stunning. And with level ground!
Helping to design this wedding was a lot of fun. We created a circular ceremony set up, where Alex and Marcelo stood between two trees that seemed to be there especially for their vow exchange. After their simple, but beautiful ceremony, everyone moved the homemade cabana to enjoy cocktails and self-serve hor d'oeuvres courtesy of Santino Catering (some of the BEST Italian catering I've ever had in my life!). Dinner was served under the tent, where we adorned the tables with dove grey linens and bright, bold centerpieces. Fuschias, oranges and reds were the overall palette - and we were overjoyed to be able to create these stunning florals for them.
Thanks to Alex and Marcelo for inviting us into your home and allowing us to be a part of your special day. You guys are such beautiful people and a beautiful couple. We wish you all the happiness in the world.
